About Us
LTO Portal Guide (ltoguide.com) is an independent resource built to help Filipino motorists understand and use the LTO Portal (LTMS) without the confusion that usually comes with government paperwork.
Why We Started This Site
Anyone who has tried to renew a license or register a vehicle in the Philippines knows the process isn’t always straightforward. Requirements change, terminology gets confusing, and it’s easy to land on the wrong website while searching for help.
We built this site to be a single, honest place where you can find clear, accurate, plain-English guides on:
- Registering and logging in to the LTO Portal
- Driver’s license renewal, including the CDE exam and the 10-year vs 5-year rule
- Vehicle registration and OR/CR
- Common login problems and how to fix them
- Spotting fake or unofficial LTO-related websites
What We Are, and What We Are Not
We are an independent information website. We are not the Land Transportation Office, we don’t process transactions, and we don’t have access to anyone’s government records. For that, you’ll always need the official LTMS Portal at portal.lto.gov.ph, or your nearest LTO branch.
What we do is research each topic carefully, cross-check claims against official LTO statements and credible news sources, and write it in a way that’s actually easy to follow. See our Disclaimer for the full details on how this site relates to the official LTO.
Our Approach
- Accuracy first. We verify facts before publishing and update pages when official rules change.
- No fluff. We skip the padding and get to what you actually need to know.
- Honesty about limits. If something isn’t confirmed or the current rule is unclear, we say so instead of guessing.
